In Odoo, when adding an attribute to a product, the Variant Creation Mode determines when product variants are generated

* Instantly – All possible product variants are created immediately when the               attribute is added to the product template.
* Dynamically – Product variants are created only when they are needed, such as     when a sales order is created for a specific combination.
* Never – No product variants are generated. The attribute is used only for                     informational or display purposes.
